Product Details

Conductors

Conductors shall be of Copper or Aluminium, circular stranded(Non-compacted or Compacted) or Shaped, Class 1 or Class 2 to IEC 60228, BS EN 60228. In addition, they also conform with the standard of AS/ZNS 1125. It can also be produced according to special requirements put forward by clients.

Structure Of PVC Cable

Insulation

PVC material and thickness shall be as per IEC 60502-1 or BS 6346. PVC insulation material, PVC/A, shall be by IEC 60502 or TI1 as per BS EN 50363. PVC insulation in accordance with SASO 1694, rated for 85°C continuous operation, is also available upon request.

Assembly

One, two, three, or four insulated conductors are laid together with non-hygroscopic fillers that are compatible with the insulation material.

 

Inner sheath

The assembly is bedded with an extruded layer of PVC. In case of non-armoured cables, this layer may be omitted if the outer shape of the cable remains practically circular.

 

Outer Sheath

The outer sheath will be extruded PVC/ST2 as per IEC 60502-1, Type 9 as per BS 7655. Special types of PVC sheathing material such as fire retardant PVC, anti-termite and anti-rodent PVC, ultraviolet PVC, Oil resistant PVC, etc. Other special sheathing materials, such as LLDPE, MDPE, HDPE, LSF, CPE, etc., are also available upon request.

Flame Performance of Cable Sheaths

Cables can be supplied with special flame retardant PVC outer sheath to comply with the flame test requirements of IEC 60332-3-22, IEC 60332-3-23 and IEC 60332-3-24, can also supply cables with Low Smoke Halogen Free (LSHF) material according to IEC 60502-1, BS 7211, BS 6724 or other equivalent standards.

 

Standard:
IEC, VDE, AS/NZS, SAA, UL, ISET, and so on, designing and manufacturing special power cables according to the other standards required by the customer.

What is building wire?

Building wire is generally used in house fixed wiring. It is PVC insulated unsheathed electric wire. The onstruction is CU/PVC.

Conductor Structure of Power Cable

1. Conductors comply with IEC, AS/NZS and BSI standard requirements

2. The conductors of multi-core have different shapes. The single-core is circular. The shape of Multi-core cable with size up to and 35m2 can be circular, semicircular and fan-shaped, the conductor with size over and 50m2 are circular and semicircle.

3. A single core is allowed with size below 16m2. Conductor More than 25m2 are multi strands.
